The game services for Windows XP and ME will end on July 31, 2019, while the Windows 7 one will end on January 22, 2020. A series of online games that was bundled starting with a Windows operating system back in 2000 and later on in the next two versions will no longer playable as Microsoft will shutdown Microsoft Internet Games for Windows XP, Windows ME, and Windows 7.Īccording to a post at a Microsoft Windows forum, “it is with heavy hearts that we have made the difficult decision that the following games will no longer be supported.” The affected games are: Internet Backgammon (XP/ME, 7), Internet Checkers (XP/ME, 7), Internet Spades (XP/ME, 7), Internet Hearts (XP/ME), Internet Reversi (XP/ME) and MSN Go (7).
